review
For better or for worse this fascinating and sometimes pompous English film Alan Parker (Midnight Express) is one of the clearest examples of the cult film. The best way to have dislocated his brief but explain that plot is based on The Wall, the famous double album by Pink Floyd. The protagonist is Pink, a rock star and autistic who, locked in a hotel room, looks at their traumas and recurring fantasies. Considered by some as a video clip of an hour and a half, is still impressive as a visual experience, especially because of the stylized drawings of the animator Gerald Scarfe.
